I wrote this bit this morning in response to some stuff on the other spam thread but couldn't get it up due to comments being suspended... due to....spam (or else I've been banned for my criticism of spam parrot, it could be that considering other posts are still appearing, or, some terms trigger the filters put in place to stop spam. Can't win either way):

So there we have it. I was right on the money as far as L-eon goes. It looks like he spent the whole morning being an obnoxious wanker trying to bully V-era.

With regard to parrot spam and sam, am I to infer that this is the one and same collective? What is SAM? Sydney Anarchist Media? Syndicated Anarchist Media? I thought it was just some angsty nuff nuff from Sydney posting wobbly stuff here. It's smells a bit like one of those socialist cults. You move in on some other group and use your numbers to dominate meetings and attack critics. Seen the movie Alien? Parrot spam would be the critter that grows inside the host (in this case IM).

If you are a collective, why don't you get your own site up? Even your own IM collective? Oh yeah, no-one would bother going there! So you want to cannabalise and parasitise someone elses work and disrupt their environment.

PS It's a bit hard to have the debate when I am continually being blocked. Arbitrary modding, but that's another story.

I've no problem with people "learning to read and write english". Where the problem arises is IM being used as a lab. Getting students to post here en masse as some sort of class work is something else again. If they came to publish under their own volition that would be different. If you want to establish your own site, that would be the appropriate environment for that type of work. I'd probably even check it myself occasionally but I don't want it shoved down my throat in bulk. I come here to read material by, about and for activists, not the grievances or homework of esl students. As much as what you are doing is worthy, I don't think IM benefits from being turned into a laboratory or classroom. If, as you say, they all have blogs, you could simply set up a site to co-ordinate and promote those blogs. You're have been/are very cagey about exactly who you are and what it is that you are doing. A bit of honesty might win you some consideration. The way you have responded to legitimate criticism hasn't done you any favors. Trying to bully Vera the MIM collective just made you look like complete Nazis. Some of you're little gang are clearly off beam.

I have and will only ever post as spaminator in relation to this issue.

So let's just straighten out a little bit of history here. Up until the comment above from sam I had been civil. After that comment and numerous other abusive posts from his deranged gang of thugs I wrote:

I don't resile from that comment and everything that has followed has reinforced the point that I am dealing with a pack of loudmouth cunts who attempt to bully opposition into submission.

All I'm seeing now is sexist, juvenile, semi-literate and incoherent morons who thinks they have a right to take over a community resource and fill it with snippets cut from mainstream media that fit in with their own psychotic world view. It's tedious gibberish that undermines and devalues what IM has to offer. So while I don't "own" IM, neither do you so you have no right to turn it into a cesspool of msm reposts. I don't do it and no-one else here does so why should you? Get it?

I'm glad I finally got that off my chest. It's been bugging me for ages.

MIM can look at this turgid pile of shit if they can be bothered and work it out for themselves. I think I've gone a fair way to exposing the true nature of the parrot spam game. If MIM want to let this little tribe of freaks continue on their merry way then I guess MIM will just slide into oblivion and anyone like me who values a space where the fringe dwellers can meet and mix will eventually reluctantly drift away.

It's down to MIM, if they want to let intellectually and ethically bereft grubs rule the roost, that's their call but, you've had a good look at it tonight and you can't say you haven't seen the writing on the wall.

It's pretty clear though, failure to act on the evidence presented here tonight will be as good as hanging a "sheltered workshop" shingle out the front and inviting all and sundry cretins, morons, dingbats etc in.
