Mad Uni students bully the education business
by Red Knee Monday June 04, 2007 at 04:14 PM

The Malaysians regard rase-based education selection as a necessary affirmative action against the small minority, and not as state-sponsored Muslim privileges.

In Australia University business employees are the targets of bullying from angry overseas students who have failed Australian exams and assignments, a union says.

The National Tertiary Education Union say violence threats, standover tactics, emotional blackmail and emails are current forms of education customer bullying. But some teachers have been stalked and forced to take out apprehended violence orders, the union told Fairfax newspapers.

Union policy and research officer Andrew Nette said a rise in staff bullying reflected the mounting pressures on pay-for-service students. "We are treating students increasingly like customers and they are acting increasingly like customers, and when a customer pays for something they expect to get it," Mr Nette said.

A Sydney University worker, who declined to be named, said she would not have one-on-one meetings with some overseas students who were disputing results they pay cash for.

"Students can become very aggressive and disgruntled about their poor results," she said.

The notion that you can actually fail something you have paid money for has become anathema. It is an obvious cultural problem for some overseas student to accept tough & fair Australian education standards, even when they are not even able to master English in writing and speech. It's very high stakes and some students should never have been accepted or allowed to continue, but the University is happy to take their cash for as long as they can pay.

The financial pressures are great on everyone in the edu-business. If student fail a course and have to redo it they can be up for several thousands more and they may not be able to progress to the next level, unless they find more cash to hand over.

For Chinese students from Malaysia and mainland-China this may prove a difficult financial burden. However, Muslim student of non-Chinese race from Malaysia are more blessed by the openly racist Malaysian government that generously pays all the fees for their many Muslims students living in Australia. Non-Muslims, non-Boomiputras are always excluded, but they must of course pay for these majority “Boomi” apartheid privileges via the Malaysian tax-bill. The majority Malaysians ie. The indigenous Boomiputtras regard this as a necessary affirmative action against the minority, and not as state-sponsored racist privileges.

But the sorry fact is that a student dressed in Muslim garb at a Australian University seldom is out of his/her own pocket for good academic education
Not since the German folk-majority oppression of the small Jewish minority have state-sponsored exploitation by a national MAJORITY of a small ethnic minority happened on such a great unashamed scale.

Old news
by Mel Monday June 04, 2007 at 04:38 PM

Why raise it now? I know cause it's anti-muslim!

But what's the difference really in that western culture is not dominated by Muslim or Islam?

Face facts some countries have chosen to favour Muslims same as they favour the English over here.

Just take the Aboriginal v white Australians in basic health care and you'd soon get the picture!

So you laid this crap out again a few months old just to take a shit on a Muslim!

What do you do for a laugh?

Smart arse
by Red knee Monday June 04, 2007 at 04:55 PM

Look man, point taken...

Problem is nobody talks about the Malasian racism next-door (and this is genoine racism here, ie based on skin and nose etc. AND Muslim religeous discrimination...) and (sorry..) it is bloody hard to sound fresh every time you speak as a lone voice.

Hey, what do you really think about Malaysian Muslim racism?

Please let us know because I have no idea... You think no OK?

I hate racism
by Mel Monday June 04, 2007 at 05:15 PM

But go find a new story and or state that this is a repost bitch, perhaps some of those problems you mentioned have already been looked into? So what is the latest? Did you try and bother to find out?

Sounds to me like you don't like Muslims perhaps they should treat Muslims worse than whites in a Muslim country?

So doesn't it come down to the majority who treat themselves better?

Like I said just look at how this countries leaders have treated the Aboriginies and Muslims with racist disregard. Then that should spell it out for you then!!!

So why don't you start with the racism over here? Is it is because it's against the wrong colour or religion?

Torture Four Corners [Walls]
by Parrot Press Monday June 04, 2007 at 05:30 PM

Four Corners [Walls] charts the recent history of torture and tracks the passionate arguments for and against its use.

=============================

You want to tell me what is 'for' torture?

If they found something 'passionate' for 'torture' then they should be sacked as public broadcasters on the side of common sense, ethics and sanity.

These people have the morals of John Howard in his new book of revelations to accept torture as a some form of passion, and pre emptive strikes as some form of democracy!!!

Barbarians
by Cran Monday June 04, 2007 at 06:47 PM

Malaysia ties people in prison to a wooden frame then systematically flays the skin from their buttocks with a 1.8 m cane.

They are barbarians dressed in western clothes with all the pretences of a civilised society.

But scratch the skin and you'll find barbarians who treat people in ways we'd charge a vet if they committed the acts on a dog.

Barbarians.

Pete, you're a fuckstick
by Fuckwit Watcher Monday June 04, 2007 at 07:59 PM

Hey Peter. Go fuck yourself, you dill.

Try finding any reports of people being judicially flogged or hanged in contemporary Australia. Or New Zealand. Or Denmark. Or Norway. Or England. Or France. Or Sweden. Terrible things happen in ALL wars. On ALL sides. But we're talking about state-sanctioned torture, you dim-witted anal fissure.

The west IS different.

That's why they all want to come here in their leaky boats, tool.

Because, you dim-witted imbecile (yes, I know, it's a tautology), this article isn't about Iraq and Afghanistan. Some people are so wedded to their prejudices that every single issue can be traced back to Iraq.

You become very boring to the rest of us.

Get over it, smegma breath.

Yeah one sided racism is boring
by Mel Tuesday June 05, 2007 at 09:12 AM

Just remember it takes two to tango. And this is not a Muslim bashing platform, just a one sided fairytale. And no they didn't live happily ever after.

For your info there is a thing caled balance and this old story wasn't put here for the price of eggs either, it was put here by people like AIPAC. But a little too late that's how you can tell the person using the material is a fraud. In that the reason for putting it here and now was not in the interests of preventing racism but to promote hate against another race of people. Otherwise it would have been here on time.
