While Saturday's most visible event on Melbourne's streets was undoubtedly the 'Sorry Day' walk, a small and quiet presence in the Mall reminded shoppers this year is also the 40th of Israel's occupation of land seized in the six-day war ...

Displaying photos of the occupation under a banner calling for peace, a small group of supporters handed out leaflets explaining the Palestinian position, and programs of the upcoming Palestinian Film Festival and Exhibition to be held on the weekend of 16-17 June (with a special preview on Tuesday 5 June at 7pm at ACMI)- enquiries 9818 5080.
