ABC: The inside ousters?
by Not your ABC

ABC weatherman and radio shock jock Mike Bailey in election challenge? Well at the moment the ABC is just a lying machine for the war criminal-Prime Sinister John Howard - And now another right wing red neck shock jock journalist and broadcaster, Alan Jones's mate, Mike Bailey who has also hosted current affairs, news-talk, talkback programs on 2GB, 2KY, Radio 2, and several community radio outlets, wants to be a politician? But as a shock jock he's been selling himself to the devil John Howard himself for years. Yes you can trust Mike Bailey like you can trust Lib/Lab------- just as far as you can throw them.....

ABC weatherman and shock jock in election challenge to Hockey?
Mike Bailey is seeking preselection to run for Labor [Lib/Lab] in Workslave Relations Minister Joe Hockey's seat on Sydney's North Shore.
Bailey a weatherman and part time red neck right wing shock jock has confirmed he has been approached to run in North Sydney, which Hockey holds.
He says he has agreed to seek preselection but nothing has been finalised.
"I'm enthusiastic about the approach, but I've got to say that the approach is not set in concrete at this stage," he said.
Bailey has nominated industrial relations and water as two issues he is interested in.
Labor [Lib/Lab] is expected to decide on its candidate within two weeks.
But you know the answer folks; it's a done deal, shame about the decision!
And I wonder where Bailey gets his inside ousters info? I mean taking into account that former ABC journalist Maxine McKew has also challenged Howard's seat in Bennalong for Lib/Lab.
So what does all this mean? Does it mean you have to be a journalist to push someone else out of a seat? And all because of your promotional situation, in that you will have more chance? Especially with inside info? Everyone knows if people have been constantly promoted they will have, no doubt, a better chance as candidates however, does that make a better politician? I don't think so because people have just been mesmorised by the image of a peson constantly re framed and not their capability, performance and integrity as a person. Similary when news readers move to current affairs or as show hosts and just come out looking like totally dumb people who don't have very much of an understanding about the world.
Like we have all these sport stars and rock stars too and once they have scored a few points then going into TV as presenters, right? Now we have all these journalists moving into politics etc. This is just the 'right wing boys and girls club' isn't it? Everybody else can go and get stuffed hey? Only seriously promoted people will get the job in politics and they will get it above and beyond all others?
[Allegedly] North Sydney has always been a safe conservative seat, apart from six years when it was in the hands of former North Sydney Mayor and Independent Ted Mack.
Hockey responds
The [Workslave] Relations Minister Joe Hockey says he is not taking his Sydney seat for granted, in the face of a challenge from Bailey.
Hockey says he will be trying his best to keep the seat in Coalition [Lib/Lab] hands.
Hocky: "I'm gonna work damn hard as I always have in my local area, never take it for granted," he said.
Like he never took for granted Howard's no work choices perhaps?
Hocky: "I think it's important to live in the seat. I think it's important to engage with community groups in the seat, and I think its important never to forget, as Ronald Reagan said, never forget the ones that brung you.
Then how come you forget about the working people of Australia didn't they bring you something too?
Hocky: "That's why I moved my ministerial office to North Sydney rather than having it in a building in the city."
"I have been a minister now for eight years and I have always had my ministerial and my electorate offices combined in North Sydney because I still want to be able to see constituents when I can, and also importantly go to the local shops, talk to the local business people and go to as many local community events as I can.
Great idea but you don't talk to the working people of Australia, your slaves, nor do you talk for them so what is the point of having constituents if you don't serve them all, only the businesses? Yet you undermined all working people who provide businesses, some more business? Don't they?
All TV presenters should just retire into old age with their small fortunes because they've been lying to us for for the government for too long and they know how to get away with it! That doesn't make a good politician...even if there was such a thing as a good politician!
Govt ad spending to top $100m
by Parrot Press

It has been revealed the Federal Government will spend more than $100 million on the 18 advertising campaigns it is currently running.
A Senate committee hearing has been told the total media spend on current Government ads is $111 million.
Labor's John Faulkner says the breakdown on how much is spent on what says a lot about the Government's priorities.
"National security advertising: $4.8 million of ad placements over 16 months, workplace relations - trying to dig yourself out of a political hole - $4.1 million of placements over six days," he said.
After questioning from South Australian Labor Senator Penny Wong, Finance Minister Nick Minchin hit back.
"Don't give me any hypocrisy, Senator, you come from a state where your state Premier puts himself in the advertising so don't give me hypocrisy about government advertising," he said.
He also defended the Government's spending on its industrial relations advertising campaign.
"What absolute rubbish, workplace relations affects every single Australian and they're entitled to know changes to the law," he said.
The Government is also spending $34 million on ads defined as non-campaign advertising.
Other spending Labor has also criticised the Government for spending almost $200,000 on 64 cabinet room chairs.
The revelation that an extension to the Prime Minister's dining room would cost $500,000 prompted an announcement that the work would not go ahead.
Labor frontbencher Chris Bowen says the spending reveals the Government's hypocrisy.
"When John Howard was leader of the Opposition he raced around the country complaining about things like this and saying Paul Keating was arrogant and out of touch - I think the chicken's come home to roost," he said.
Liberal Senator Mitch Fifield has played down the dining room extension plans.
"That issue has been dealt with - it's not going to happen," he said.
Senator Fifield says Labor has focussed entirely on spending and not asked any policy decisions in Senate estimates.

Better those media lying bastards, at least I learned their 'shtick' to translate. Competence is in a bottleneck in this country, and especially political parties need everyone with reasonable spelling and maths, because the next league down is just NOT acceptable, even for Australians.

If Rudd does get in because he is somehow portrayed as an alternative then I don't see it here? Bummer!
For instance: Where is the opposition to WAR? Where is the opposition to WAR Crimes? Where is the opposition to Military Spending? Where is the opposition to Draconian Laws? Where is the opposition to Refugee Detainment? Where is the opposition to David Hicks 5 year detention? Where is the opposition to the AWB scandal? Where is the opposition to Islamophobia? Where is the opposition to Political Scapegoating? Where is the opposition to Neo-Colonialism? Where is the opposition to False Flag Operations by the CIA? Where is the opposition to the FTA 'Investors Rights Agreement'? Where is the opposition to HIV Discrimination? Where is the opposition to the Privatisation of Health? Where is the opposition to Desecrating and Ignoring Aboriginal Affairs? Where is the opposition to Subordinating Scientific and Medical Research? Where is the opposition to Uranium Mining? Where is the opposition to No WorkChoices? Where is the opposition to Not Enough Public Housing? Where is the opposition to Not Enough Public Education Funding? Where is the opposition to Social Services Reform? Where is the opposition to Desperate and Disabled to Work? Where is the opposition to 6 weeks Social Security Payments Cut Off's? Where is the opposition to Work for the Dole instead of Getting Better Education and Skills for Better Employment Opportunities? Where is the opposition to Rorting the Social Security System by Corporate Greed?
Vote Nobody Next Federal Election People want things to change but when ask what they think will change it they ask for more of the same? If things are going to change then they're never going to change whilst people give validity and credibility to a totally flawed system. Federal elections are coming up and it's the same old joke as usual - a "choice" that isn't one! Instead of not voting, how about voting for Nobody?
What the?

Since when did Mike Bailey, mild-mannered weatherman become a shock jock? An ABC employee can't even moonlight on other, commercial outlets? Some people have just got way too much time (and probably drugs) on their hands......
