ABC: The inside ousters?
by Not your ABC Tuesday May 22, 2007 at 03:19 PM

ABC weatherman and radio shock jock Mike Bailey in election challenge? Well at the moment the ABC is just a lying machine for the war criminal-Prime Sinister John Howard - And now another right wing red neck shock jock journalist and broadcaster, Alan Jones's mate, Mike Bailey who has also hosted current affairs, news-talk, talkback programs on 2GB, 2KY, Radio 2, and several community radio outlets, wants to be a politician? But as a shock jock he's been selling himself to the devil John Howard himself for years. Yes you can trust Mike Bailey like you can trust Lib/Lab------- just as far as you can throw them.....

ABC weatherman and shock jock in election challenge to Hockey?

Mike Bailey is seeking preselection to run for Labor [Lib/Lab] in Workslave Relations Minister Joe Hockey's seat on Sydney's North Shore.

Bailey a weatherman and part time red neck right wing shock jock has confirmed he has been approached to run in North Sydney, which Hockey holds.

He says he has agreed to seek preselection but nothing has been finalised.

"I'm enthusiastic about the approach, but I've got to say that the approach is not set in concrete at this stage," he said.

Bailey has nominated industrial relations and water as two issues he is interested in.

Labor [Lib/Lab] is expected to decide on its candidate within two weeks.

But you know the answer folks; it's a done deal, shame about the decision!

And I wonder where Bailey gets his inside ousters info? I mean taking into account that former ABC journalist Maxine McKew has also challenged Howard's seat in Bennalong for Lib/Lab.

So what does all this mean? Does it mean you have to be a journalist to push someone else out of a seat? And all because of your promotional situation, in that you will have more chance? Especially with inside info? Everyone knows if people have been constantly promoted they will have, no doubt, a better chance as candidates however, does that make a better politician? I don't think so because people have just been mesmorised by the image of a peson constantly re framed and not their capability, performance and integrity as a person. Similary when news readers move to current affairs or as show hosts and just come out looking like totally dumb people who don't have very much of an understanding about the world.

Like we have all these sport stars and rock stars too and once they have scored a few points then going into TV as presenters, right? Now we have all these journalists moving into politics etc. This is just the 'right wing boys and girls club' isn't it? Everybody else can go and get stuffed hey? Only seriously promoted people will get the job in politics and they will get it above and beyond all others?

[Allegedly] North Sydney has always been a safe conservative seat, apart from six years when it was in the hands of former North Sydney Mayor and Independent Ted Mack.

Hockey responds

The [Workslave] Relations Minister Joe Hockey says he is not taking his Sydney seat for granted, in the face of a challenge from Bailey.

Hockey says he will be trying his best to keep the seat in Coalition [Lib/Lab] hands.

Hocky: "I'm gonna work damn hard as I always have in my local area, never take it for granted," he said.

Like he never took for granted Howard's no work choices perhaps?

Hocky: "I think it's important to live in the seat. I think it's important to engage with community groups in the seat, and I think its important never to forget, as Ronald Reagan said, never forget the ones that brung you.

Then how come you forget about the working people of Australia didn't they bring you something too?

Hocky: "That's why I moved my ministerial office to North Sydney rather than having it in a building in the city."

"I have been a minister now for eight years and I have always had my ministerial and my electorate offices combined in North Sydney because I still want to be able to see constituents when I can, and also importantly go to the local shops, talk to the local business people and go to as many local community events as I can.

Great idea but you don't talk to the working people of Australia, your slaves, nor do you talk for them so what is the point of having constituents if you don't serve them all, only the businesses? Yet you undermined all working people who provide businesses, some more business? Don't they?

All TV presenters should just retire into old age with their small fortunes because they've been lying to us for for the government for too long and they know how to get away with it! That doesn't make a good politician...even if there was such a thing as a good politician!
