Hello? Hello? Your government is committing violence against you. Fluoride is poison!

The Victorian Greens policy statement about fluoridation reads as follows:
--------
Australian Greens Victoria 2006 Victorian Election
Policy Statement
Health
3.3 Population Health The Victorian Greens will work towards:
3.3.19.Supporting the right of communities to determine the introduction of fluoride into local water supplies.
--------
Pretty good on the surface. I also support the right of local communities to determine their own poison intake. As long as those communities do not include hooligans like Tony Abbott:
Abbott: Dressing the Fluoride Monkey http://www.melbourne.indymedia.org/news/2007/03/142908.php
There was no opposition to fluoridation by the Greens or the journalist in the original ABC Online article I quoted from in "Dressing the Fluoride Monkey". People seem reluctant to politicize the subject of fluoridation in Australia. But this is not the case in parts of the US and Europe and I call for for a tougher stance against fluoridation from the Victorian Greens.
Here is what they are saying in Ireland:
--------
Greens in Govt would stop water fluoridation
Issued: 13 March 2007
The Green Party today said that it would stop the fluoridation of Irish water supplies if elected to Government. Health spokesperson John Gormley TD said that water fluoridation had reached its sell-by date and that the latest international research meant that fluoridation was no longer tenable.
Speaking at a press conference in Dublin, Deputy Gormley said: "The latest advice from the American Dental Association tells parents to avoid using fluoridated water when bottle feeding babies because of the dangers of fluorosis - the staining and pitting of teeth which can result from overexposure to fluoride. This advice should be heeded. The balance of international evidence proves that water fluoridation should be stopped immediately.

--------
People are waking up to the fact that fluoridation was not a good idea and is in fact very dangerous. I was shocked when both my parents told me they were dusted for lice by using DDT when they were children. I hope your grand children will be just as shocked when you tell them what they used to do to the water supply.

As suggested much of the fluoride added to water supplies around the world comes from ALCOA and the aluminum industry.
ALCOA is not the only company off-loading their wast product to corrupt governments and water-boards. In fact, the source for Melbourne's water fluoridation is from Deltrex Chemicals/Pivot Fertilizers.
http://www.baddevelopers.green.net.au/Docs/Deltrex-Pivot.htm
Fluoride sourced from Pivot's fertilizer factory, from scrubbers in factory chimneys. How appropriate that the material necessary to stop the poisoning of Melbourne's water by fluoridation can be sourced from the same company.
Fluoridation plants are located at the outlets of four of Melbourne's major reservoirs:
- Silvan - Cardinia - Yan Yean - Sugarloaf

what is the governments reason for putting flouride in the water supply? Is it something to do with dental health?
If so, thats lame. People should be intelligent enough to brush their teeth.
What next? Multivitiamin supplements in the water supply?
In any case, we should all be getting rain water tanks, if its within financial reach.

Recently Nimbin residents voted overwhelmingly against water manipulation of ANY KIND. And Lismore council had to back off! martin
Thanks. Now go away and let the people read some evidence, tools.

Now letme see. Whose opinions do I value the more? '' 'Martin', 'Uwu' and 'Hopi Indi's' (whoever the fuck they are) or those of the World Health Organisation?
Mmmm. Let me think about that a while.
The more astute reader may care to avail themselves of evidence, which I have thoughtfully provided a link to, before developing an opinion on the issue of flouridein our water supply.
Otherwise one runs the risk of being tagged an 'uninformed fuckwit'.
And we just can't have that here at MIM.
Can we?

Is it possible for you to engage in discussion without being a condescending prick?
Grow up. Your contributions would be worth while if you didn't treat everyone else as if they are below you.

In Australia and NZ, where the FSANZ labeling system at most appears to be very lax, there is a little disclaimer on the label of fluoride toothpaste, amongst the other directions for use, that says:
"Do not swallow"
In the US where the FDA labeling system at least seems to be more stringent, fluoride toothpaste is required by law to carry the following message:
"WARNING: Keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age. If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, seek professional help or contact a poison control center immediately."

Do not miss my point, Uwu. Fluoride is a POISON, not a vitamin supplement.
--------
Congratulations to those at Nimbin who voted against the tampering of their water supply. I am confident that in Nimbin you have no need for dangerous drugs such as Prozac, Zoloft, Luvox and Paxil, all of which contain fluoride.

Your "informed one" information PDF is from 2004. Sorry dude, you might want to update your information from the WHO to a few years later...
IE:
New WHO report tackles fluoride in drinking-water
21 NOVEMBER 2006 | GENEVA -- Millions of people are exposed to excessive amounts of fluoride through drinking water contaminated from natural geological sources. As a result, many suffer conditions ranging from mild dental fluorosis to crippling skeletal fluorosis. With the problem continuing to be unrecognized and neglected, guidance is sorely needed.

"Tyler" your direct action plan has been duly noted between the lines. This is self defense, sir.
Selective quoting, Hopi, makes you a fuckwit.
by Informed One

Quite correct, Hopi.
The problem, however, as the report it at pains to illustrate, is with 'excessive' amounts of fluoride - not the amount which is added to our supply. The same report you quote from does not anywhere rail against fluoride augmentation to drinking supplies per se if properly administered.
As they are in Australia.
Now be gone, you prejudiced cretin.
I need to go floss.
I take your point, Nic. But it's hard to stop soaring like an eagle when you're surrounded by sparrows.

It does also pain to illustrate that "naturally occurring fluoride" in our industrialized reservoirs is a load of uninformed bullshit:
2.1 How are fluorides released into the environment?
"Fluorides are released into the environment naturally through the weathering and dissolution of minerals, in emissions from volcanoes and in marine aerosols. Fluorides are also released into the environment via coal combustion and process waters and waste from various industrial processes, including steel manufacture, primary aluminium, copper and nickel production, phosphate ore processing, phosphate fertilizer production and use, glass, brick and ceramic manufacturing, and glue and adhesive production. The use of fluoride-containing pesticides as well as the controlled fluoridation of drinking-water supplies also contribute to the release of fluoride from anthropogenic sources. Based on available data, phosphate ore production and use as well as aluminium manufacture are the major industrial sources of fluoride release into the environment."
http://www.greenfacts.org/fluoride/fluorides-3/02-environment.htm
Sorry, again I tells ya "industrial sources" does not comply as "natural" to me, dude. You might call it "natural". WHO might call it "natural". You might even call your position in regard to added fluoride to my water supply "natural" (even though you have no say in it).
But I don't.
yep

i agree with the hopmeister about what's natural and what ain't.
butt fucking another dude ain't natural coz you need lube from an 'industrial source' (eg KY etc). in uther words, it ain't prodiced naturally.
As hopi-wan-kanobe correctly states, "industrial sources does not comply as "natural" to me, dude.
Spot on hop. let's have an end to this crap about anal sex between guys as 'natural'. Hopi proves it ain't so.
