Sydney Morning Herald video looks fair on Cheney protest
by Tom McLoughlin Friday February 23, 2007 at 08:46 AM

Unlike the tv including abc bulletin last night about the protest "turning violent", when really it was the police determination to prevent a street march perhaps to stop join up with yankee anti Cheney gathering at US Consulate in Martin Place? But too many to actually stop the march. Watch the video.

Here are the links on their website this morning:

# Video: Police clash with protesters

And notice the less than critical coverage of the protesting public at the visit of a war criminal here:

"Cheney flies in to a war of words

Dick Cheney 6:53am | The US Vice-President arrives in Sydney amid tight security as eight protesters arrested for unlawful protest action. "

and even at News Ltd Cheney is on the nose here:

"Cheney police protest

MORE than 1200 police are being pulled off Sydney's streets to guard visiting US Vice-President Dick Cheney, costing taxpayers up to $2 million."

[ps for indy followers sydneyalternativemedia/blog is running at 4500+ a month up from 2800/m and still 5 days of short month to go. Yet we still look forward to SIM's return (?).]
