WELD VALLEY RAID

“Weld Valley Blockade has today been raided by 60 police in the early hours of the morning. One activist has been arrested. Three activists remain in tree sits and locked on to a vehicle blocking the road.” Spokesperson Jenny Weber said.

Call out for people to come to tas, come to Houn Vally Environment Centre and we will brief them for going to the Weld Valley.

“Weld Valley Blockade in Tasmania’s south, has been the site for community resistance for the past twelve months. A road blocking pirate ship, and a new blockade on Sth Weld rd have been halting logging of ancient forest from wood chipping.” Jenny Weber said

“Today’s action by Tasmania Police and Forestry Tasmania to remove activists from the Lower Weld Valley has opened up the forest to destruction.’ Jenny Weber said.
