Oppose the unjust terror laws: join the second Solidarity Bus Ride to Barwon prison!

The thirteen Melbourne men arrested in the Howard government's anti-terrorism campaign are currently being held in the maximum security Barwon prison, under new laws that target intentions rather than acts. Because the terror legislation precludes bail, they have been in punitive, Guantanamo-style conditions since November 2005, even though they are yet to go to trial. They remain in solitary confinement, subjected to humiliating strip searches with very little access to family or lawyers.

By bringing protesters to the prison gates, the Solidarity Bus Ride demands humane treatment, calls for repeal of the undemocratic anti-terrorism laws and shows solidarity with the Muslim community.

They want to keep the victims of these laws out of sight and out of mind. So take your opposition to Barwon itself. Join the Solidarity Bus Ride!
