"Dear friends and colleagues ,
You will all have to excuse me for sending this. It's pictures of the bodies of babies killed by the israelis in South lebanon. They are all burnt. I need your help. I am almost certain these pictures won't be published in the West, although they are associated press pictures. I need your help exposing them if you can. The problem is these are people who were asked to leave
their village , Ter Hafra , this morning , within two hours , or else. ... So those who were able to flee went to the closer UN base where they were asked to leave. I think that after the Qana massacres in 1996 when civilians were bombed after they took chelter in UN headquarters , the UN does not want to be responssible for the lives of civilians.A FEW MINUTES AGO , the
Israeli asked the people of Al Bustan village in the south to evacuate their homes. I am afraid massacares will keep happening as long as Israeli actions are uncheked. Please help us if you can

It's of an Israeli suicide bombing victim.

I'm sure you'll agree it's vital to get both sides of the story to keep our minds in balance.

Otherwise people might mistake you for a selectively indignant fuckwit.

And we wouldn't want that, would we?

Dead kids dont bomb
by Wobbly Tuesday July 18, 2006 at 10:38 PM

Children aren't suicide bombers. And besides, Ireali victims of suicide bombs get plenty of international media attention. If you want to talk about balance, then I believe showing what is happening to the other people is vital.

Take a look at the "burn" victims in these photos. I've included a photo of an actual burn victim child for reference. There is no blood, no missing or even dislocated limbs. There aren't even any burns -- only blackened faces. Eyes closed showing peacefully -- no traumatic death here.

Take a look at the car -- allegedly destroyed by a missle or a shell. Torn to pieces and burn to a crisp. Where are the burn marks or the sharpnel wounds of the "victims"?

What we seem to have here is another low-budget propoganda piece from our friends in "Pallywood"

This would win awards at the Cannes Film Festival, I'm sure

Wobbly: "Children aren't suicide bombers. And besides, Ireali victims of suicide bombs get plenty of international media attention..."

No, but when the local Hamas gaulieiter straps bombs to them and sends them toward checkpoints, into pizza parlours and senior citizens' centres, you can get much the same effect.

"On March 16, 2004, Palestinian terrorists associated with Yasser Arafat's Fatah group tricked a 12-year-old boy into carrying a large bomb in his school bag into a checkpoint near Nablus. Abdullah Quran's life was saved only because a cell phone rigged to detonate the 13-pound bomb failed to set off the explosive at the checkpoint as it had been designed to do. The border guard heard the cell phone and opened the bag. "

http://www.crimelibrary.com/terrorists_spies/terrorists/palestinians/index.html

"It was the second time in 10 days that the Fatah Tanzim terror organization in Nablus attempted to turn children into human bombs. On March 15, Abdullah Kuran, 11, was asked to carry several bags through the Israeli roadblock and hand them to a woman waiting on the other side."

Idiot of all idiots;

"What drives a people to embrace suicide bombing? ...So in the face of a corrupt Goliath what is David to do?"

Firstly, Idiot, let me congratulate you on choosing the single most inappropriate Biblical metaphor for the Muslim world in the history of written English.

But well done. It shows the folks at home what they're dealing with.

Secondly, having some Hamas thug actually trick children into carring bombs does not, by my lights, constitute his "embracing suicide bombing".

It's plain murder.

Anyway, to the extent that we support the Palestinian cause, I guess we all support Hamas now.

I mean, they voted for them.

by Sarah Thursday July 27, 2006 at 11:57 PM

Wow. You guys take my breath away. Are you even human, that you can be so trivial and vicious and ugly when talking about such a tragedy? Or maybe you're all too human, and that's the real tragedy - you've just given us a small demonstration of all the reasons why people attack each other and blow each other's babies to pieces - a nice little distillation of abuse, ignorance, small-mindedness and viciousness. Well done. And while you're sitting in your nice comfortable first world houses, trading dumb insults, people are actually dying. I don't care which side the deaths are on, it's wrong either way. All the blame casting and conspiracy theories you're spouting are a waste of time. War is never a solution - it just causes a bigger legacy of hatred and despair. It needs to stop, now. But with a world full of people who think the way you do, I don't like my kids chances of living in peace.

by Greed V Humanity Friday July 28, 2006 at 12:15 AM

OK Sarah, so are you saying that we are responsible for what is happening in Lebanon now? Because we get angry with and abuse the people who have supported, justified and instigated the violence?

I think you'll find we have opposed flawed Western interventionist policy and Zionism from the beginning.

If we get nasty when the chickens come home to roost why blame us? The whole disaster is a form of undesirable vindication.

You should join us, or at least support us in holding the perverts responsible for these debacles responsible for their idiotic approach to global politics.

Anyway, it's not good for you to hold the anger in.

by Rachel Corrie's Thin Sister Friday July 28, 2006 at 11:15 AM

"OK Sarah, so are you saying that we are responsible for what is happening in Lebanon now?"

The terror supporters on the Left are DIRECTLY responsible for the situation in Lebanon right now.

Useful Idiots (a term coined by Lenin to describe American Socialists) in ISM and other pro-terror "peace groups" have emboldened Hizbollah, Islamic Jihad and the other -- politicians with AK-47s -- into thinking they could attack Israel with impunity.

Guess what? The Left was WRONG again.

Trials in the Hague for Jewish War Criminals? I'd like to see that!
by The Chris Parsons Project™ Friday July 28, 2006 at 12:40 PM

Chris, did you know that Israel started the latest WAR by breaking the ceasefire and shelling a Palestinian family picnicing on the beach on June 9th?

Did you know this deliberate provocation by Israel was designed to end the ceasefire with Hamas?

"The protracted situation in the Palestinian territories and the election of Hamas in January seem to have heated the political situation in the region to boiling point, especially after the Israeli army shelled a beach in Gaza killing seven family members, prompting Hamas militants to call off a 16 month truce and kidnap an Israel soldier."

http://www.itp.net/business/features/details.php?id=4768&category=

Did you know that the two Israeli soldiers were INSIDE Lebanon when they were arrested?

http://representativepress.blogspot.com/2006/07/where-exactly-were-those-israeli.html

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Did you know? By Gabriele Zamparini

“I, Tsilli Goldenberg, Israeli citizen

Accuse you - Ehud Olmert, Prime Minister of Israel, Amir Peretz, Minister of Defense, Dan Halutz Head of Staff Chief Commander of the Israeli Army, of committing this bestial barbaric slaughter in Lebanon.

I accuse you of committing Crimes against Humanity towards the Palestinian People. I accuse you of deserting our soldiers, when their lives could be saved by negotiations, and I accuse you of starting an unjustified war in my name.” - Tsilli Goldenberg, Masarik 11, Jerusalem 93106 Israel

Did you know that "Dana Olmert, the daughter of Israel's Prime Minister Ehud Olmert... [was one of] the demonstrators [who] chanted slogans such as 'Tzahala residents, there's a murderer in your neighborhood,' and raised signs calling on the government to 'put a stop to the murder of civilians' and stating, 'Halutz is a killer, the intifada shall prevail.' Activists also shouted, 'neighbors, ask Halutz why he's killing children and how many'"?

Why not?

Did you know that “45% of those killed in Lebanon are children and of the 500,000 people who have fled to safety, some 200,000 are children”?

Why not?

Did you know that Israel bombed “the nation's biggest private network, the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation”?

Why not?

Did you know that a “big milk factory in the Bekaa region called ‘Liban Lait’ was completely burned and destroyed by direct attacks from the Israeli Air Force.”? And that a “food storehouse called ‘TransMed’ in Choueifate, in Beirut’s southern suburbs, was totally destroyed”?

Why not?

Did you know that “Lebanon's president accused Israel on Monday of using phosphorous bombs in its 13-day offensive and urged the United Nations to demand an immediate ceasefire”?

Why not?

Did you know that “the bodies of 13 Lebanese fighters were taken from Maroun al-Ras and buried in Israel to use in future negotiations over the release of Israeli prisoners”?

Why not?

Did you know that “Israeli military has said it will destroy 10 buildings in predominantly Shia south Beirut for every rocket fired at the Israeli port of Haifa, army radio said Monday”?

Why not?

Did you know that “The delivery of at least 100 GBU 28 bunker busters bombs containing depleted uranium warheads by the United States to Israel for use against targets in Lebanon will result in additional radioactive and chemical toxic contamination with consequent adverse health and environmental effects throughout the middle east.”?

Why not?

Did you know that what's going on is “subject to review by Israel's chief military censor, who has - in her own words – ‘extraordinary power’. She can silence a broadcaster, block information and put journalists in jail”?

Why not?

Did you know that “[a]ccording to the Lebanese police force, the two [Israeli] soldiers were captured in Lebanese territory”?

Why not?

Did you know how the “cross-border” myth originated?

Why not?

From the beginning of this new chapter of the old madness, many people have been following on the internet this shame. We are a peaceful army of world citizens, working for free and moved by solidarity, compassion and an inner drive for justice. Not anger!

But even among the elites of the anti-war movement and the so-called “left”, too many have never been listening to us. Let alone important journalists working for the “pro-Israeli” mainstream media who still believe that the “internet is a new thing, and it's also unreliable.”

More than sixty years ago George Orwell wrote in The Freedom of the Press, a Preface to his political novel, Animal Farm:

“But at least let us have no more nonsense about defending liberty against Fascism. If liberty means anything at all it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. The common people still vaguely subscribe to that doctrine and act on it… it is the liberals who fear liberty and the intellectuals who want to do dirt on the intellect…”

This Preface was censored when the book came out in 1945 and it was only published in The Times Literary Supplement on 15 September 1972. Twenty seven years after Animal Farm was first published.
