Didn't you see the mythbusters episode about the guy who smashed out of the window of the high-rise and the differences in pressure between outside and in on a building like that on a NORMAL day, not when the top of it is collapsing down. Where the hell do you think the air goes fucktard?

The "thing" falling off the tower could have been a human jumping, could have been someone raming a desk out when they realised what was happening, it could have been a loose object falling off at that time.

Ever see the news when a car crashes into a brick house, or a storm knocks a tree onto one? They get totally MASHED, the roof caves in over the bit of the wall that fails.

Ever flow in a plane? Do you realise how much bigger a plane is than a car? Do you realise how much more weight a couple of floors of a building is than a roof?

The plane is larger in comparison to the floor space of the building than a car to an average home. And yet for you it is somehow beyond belief that a plane smashing into a building at high speed might just just cause enough damage to collapse it. Why do you have such faith in the structural engineers? Numerous structural engineers have said that the towers would not be able to withstand a large plane, including the guys who built it at the time.

Perhaps you need to go to the NEW YORK Times and read the so-called "oral histories". It might also helpyour case to stop playing dumb, in the way you so obviously do when you pretend that the Chief of Safety of the Fire Department of NEW YORK didn't say what he said on 911. In the history of steel-framed buildings: a) How many have "collapsed" partially or entirely as a consequence of fire? b) when did these buildings collapse? You can easily answer these questions with a number and date/s. Then you can tell us why a few randomly thrown large molotov cocktails can't be considered, in this whacky New American 21st Century, state-of-the-art for controlled demolition. I look forward to your expert explanation, since the well-connected demolition experts at implosion world have been working on one since January - with no published result.

it shouldn't be a surprise that the us government was involved. afterall there are offically released documents about such kinds of plans in the 60's as a way of justifing an attack on cuba.

you should consider that 3 steel framed buildings collapsed for the first time in history and that one of them wasn't even hit by a plane. infact there wasn't even any smoke billowing out when it collapsed the same as it would if it was demolished.

also consider that for the two towers, they collapsed in eight seconds. that is ten stories per second which means that there was no resistance with each floor as this is the speed of gravity.

It's birds Karen - the WTC towers are a mile or in the background, while the birds are only a 100 meters or so in front of the camera. That is why they appear to be moving so fast, just as a jogger in the foreground appears to move a lot faster than a commercial jetliner in the distance.

A few degrees of visual field can encompass a fingernail in front of your nose, a distant mountain, a more distant city, an even more distant moon, or an unfathomably distant cluster of galaxies.

i'm actually a visual artist and am very familliar with such things. i suggest you look at the video again yourself - try freeze framing if you can. you will see that it is impossible that these objects are birds anyway you look at them. even if they are close up they are still way too fast for birds as well.

The birds were very close to a low-angle zoom-lens that was projecting a magnified image onto an array of charge-coupled devices that refreshed 30 or 60 times per second. The video you are refering to is a compressed 30fps re-presentation of the original that has been slowed down, and which clearly shows flapping blurry blobs of diving bird flipping rapidly in the foreground from frame to frame.

Karen - before we discuss birds and video analysis any further, please tell me what you think of the patently dubbed-in exclamation -- "that wasn't American Airlines" -- as heard during footage of the second WTC strike in the film "In Plane Site".

In addition to the Mayor and the Police Commissioner, several Deputy Mayors and Senior City Hall staff were at the command post. The Mayor was on the phone with the White House, and had been told the White House was being evacuated. Suddenly, the building began to shake, and someone yelled the towers were coming down. We could hear the roar of the building collapsing, and then there was silence and darkness. A Deputy Police Commissioner came into our building covered in dust and bleeding, and he confirmed that the South Tower had collapsed. I could only imagine the thousands of people that we had just lost.

As the dust cleared somewhat and the light returned, OEM Watch Command conducted a roll call of OEM command - everyone was accounted for. The OEM representatives that had been at the West Street Fire command post were directed, along with the firefighters and Chiefs, by Chief of Department Pete Garci to move the command post north while Chief Ganci and Deputy Commissioner Bill Feehan went south to assess the situation.

We left Barclay Street and walked north. As we walked, the North Tower Collapsed. There are almost no words to describe the feeling at that moment.

We stopped at the firehouse [engine 24, ladder 5] on Sixth Avenue and [West] Houston Street to regroup and organize our next steps. It was decided that the Police Academy would be the best location for a temporary command center.

Once at the Academy, the Mayor and his staff re-established the seat of government, and the Police Department and OEM created a new, temporary EOC in the library.

The building was designed to have a fully-loaded 707 crash into it. That was the largest plane at the time. I believe that the building probably could sustain multiple impacts of jetliners, because this structure is like the mosquito netting on your screen door -- this intense grid. And the jet plane is just a pencil puncturing that screen netting. It really does nothing to the screen netting.

I made a comment on another site which was pulled and reposted here with the misunderstanding that I was putting Charlie Sheen down.

I was being sarcastic in that many people who attack Charlie Sheen are doing a character assassination on his personal life, disregarding that he has overcome past problems and that his personal life has little to do with the poignant questions he is posing about what really happened on 9/11.

So, I took the description of him that detractors like to point out and then commented how it's the same profile that fits President Bush.
