Photos: Stop the Deportation of Scott Parkin!
by xster
Tuesday September 13, 2005 at 12:17 AM
Around 40 people converged outside the headquarters of the Australian Federal Police today with just 2 hours notice. They demanded the immediate release of US peace activist Scott Parkin and protest against the increasingly authoritarian Howard regime.

Imbeciles Have Returned
by Imbecile Spotter
Tuesday September 13, 2005 at 11:28 AM
Funny how some people just can't get their philosophy consistent.
Last week, hundreds were prepared to try and stop some of Scott's countrymen from peacefully meeting in Sydney to discuss issues of importance to them. Freedom of assembly is meant to be extended to everyone, right? Even those whose views we despise, right?
Now, the same people are lamenting the apparent taking away from Scott of the very right those Forbes attendees wanted to exercise - freedom of assembly and speechspeech.
Kids, you can't berate the Government for stopping a guy from exercising free speech while at the same time try and thwart that right from being exercised by people whose views you vehemently dislike.
It's either everyone or no one has the right to meet with whom and say whatever they like. Get it?
Immature, inconsistent and prejudiced imbeciles.
No wonder nobody takes you seriously or cares what you think.

What about the rich on a whim getting the Police State of NSW to let them have the Opera House for a week excluding everyone not rich r majority of us were not invited and batoned if we went near. Some how the rich have more rights than the rest of us?
Scott parkin and other dissenters from Greed Inc are much more welcome than the plutocrats of the rich list eg halliburton crims ....
Yours from New Orleans Ozfailure.

Imbecile Spotter, you make the classic mistake that the police often make when dealing with a protest - assuming everyone there is doing the same thing, thinking the same thing and has the same objectives.
At the WEF protests here in melb all that time ago, the police claimed they had waterballons with urine and stones throw at them I don't know if this is true or not, but let's just say there probably was a minority of 1 or 2% being utter bastards there. That is absolutely NO reason to then trample the crowd with horses, or swing batons indescriminately at people. A crowd is a group of legal subjects/individuals, collective punishment is against our legal philosophy (and another reason to oppose Israel and their house-bulldozing).
So that no doubt there were people at the Fortune protest seeking to stop them from assembling/speaking does not mean a) that all the people there believed that, b) that scott parkin believed that OR c) that scott parkin was organising the whole thing behind the scenes (the conclusion that even you, in your stupidity, did not reach and yet which ASIO seems to have).
So STFU before you open your bone box and *think* about what you are saying before you say it.
What next??

The imbecile has been spotted.
Imbecile spotter is upset that a few Aussies turned out to boo his hero "tax the poor and give it to the rich" Forbes.
Our taxes were spent protecting this backward modern Malthus.
Perhaps you should piss off to America and camp outside Bush'S ranch on your knees with your tongue out and a sign saying ARSE WIPER HERE.

Thank you sisters and brothers of Australia (and the world, as it seems some of you are also "tourrists" there like Scott) for taking care of our colleague and standing in resistance to his being politically targeted.
Good to know that no matter where democracy goes, it will always have the direct support of fine folks like you when challenged as such.
Give that boy a kiss for us peace-loving Texans when he gets out! We are SO there in spirit!
Blessings, Deb in Austin (who loves putting up "tourrists" in her home if any of you are ever in Texas!)
Demonstrate This
by Simon
Thursday September 15, 2005 at 08:05 AM
I cannot think of a better reason than to chuck a pair of shoes in the air even if only in frustration.
We are now being ignored by a consistant 80% and represented in a democracy by those who ignore our wishes 80% of the time, for thois reason trad demostrations street theatre local and international activist will be removed from the threat to our governments security. . Recently, just yeasterday on the grand truck road east of the city I saw a fine pair of school shoes dangling from the wires in clear view as thousands of cars past under. I knew what they represented, one iraqi child dead, and his shoes can never be filled again, but the idea escapes most commuters because they only saw shoes.
These idea need more exploring explaining and duplication, one pair hanging can be ignored but twenty pairs in the same location needs and crys out for explaination.
For further details.
Bringing you convenience in easy home demonstrating. by Not Tupperware 2005-09-09 12:19 AM +0800
WARNING.............
Ignore this Demo, Howard and you go on the world stage lights out, unplugged with your phone disconnected!! I've got the power, I’ve got the switch, with one posting, this I unleashed, I can flick you out of Iraq by Christmas, want to test me?. Bring it on. Try me.
Sorry, got well carried away there,a straight jacket would rip from my rippiling chest, a little bit over excited, better now, clear.
In comments this evening on SIM, under the heading... Follow Cindys example…… In his article Matt suggests we begin a vigil outside Kiribati house to end the war in Iraq, like the bereaved parent holding a candle outside ranchereno Texarse.
Sorry mate can’t do camp outs, me mum won’t allow it, says I for fun "she recons there are too many headlice and I’d be buggered head to toe by breakfast. I think she said headlice or headonists, but she thinks actavist are in it for what they can get out of it.
Mums right most of the time so I tend to agree.
So I suggested in comments a form of demonstration that leaves the suburbs littered with symbols, kind of like yellow ribbons which took off in the states like flies on a bulls anus.
This demo aint that pretty, as far as statements of sentiment go it smacks of…. in whose shoes we should walk….
Heres how the little Idea went Thurday evening
I don't know what I could be accused of inciting ? by Simon 4:52pm Thu Sep 8 '05 comment#58759
As a personal and affordable demonstration one could signify opposition to Australia's escalation of war support while the world retracts resource by...
Throwing an old pair of shoes into the air.
I know, its silly, but a simple and devilish idea.
I just had it, so its spur of the moment and quite unpremeditated. Honestly yer honner I did'nt mean anyfin by it.
Childrens lace up shoes, should be chosen, old worn recycled from rubbish or bought for a small donation, used like a red nose day totem, a tokenism for ever child or civilian killed in a war that should never have happened.
And for lasting effect tie the laces together and stand on the roadside kerb in any street as you throw the token as high as you dare, straight up but take care! look both ways and if no police car is approaching launch you peace dove into the air. Aim is not so important, and fun for all the family.
The lasting reminder will weather and twist in the wind while dangling on mounting cables which have been put in place for such a community art project.
So handy, the hard work has been done before the show started, to save time telstra fox and your friendly overseas electricity suppler has rolled out thousands of Klics of cable for our exculusive use, all in a street near you.
So don't waste your time demonstrating to a government, 80% got nowhere last time when war was obviously a bad idea from the stat, so what few can be bothered now will not make a even a slight difference.
We know it, they know it, so what can change?
And beside where are our war dead?
Bring it to an end. In a Non violent time efficient way and iF a little reckless or dangerous be assured that the demonstration will wreck less and be dangerous to fewer people than our governments current behaviour.
Just think who would buy telstra with half the nations old smelly shoes as part of the deal?

Nobody gives a shit what you people think.
Oh you sat down? In front of a government building? For a couple of hours? Take that, Howard regime.
But seriously, where will this reign of terror end? What will you sit down in front of next if the government doesn't heed you demands? A handicapped parking spot, a fire hydrant, a shopping mall, a piece of clay pottery, an oncoming truck? WHAT TERRORS LIE IN STORE?????
And then you'll throw your shoes in the air? Oh no, I pray of you, have mercy! People sitting down! People throwing shoes up in the air! We'll do whatever you say, mighty protestors, just stop CHALLENGING SOCIETY TO CONFRONT ITS INTERNAL CONTRADICTIONS WITH YOUR SUBVERSIVE STREET ACTIONS! I beg of you!
Seriously are you people actually fucking retarded? Do you have brain injuries? You are utterly laughable. Say goodbye to your commie buddy, he's on a plane.

"Nobody gives a shit what you people think."
The feeling's mutual "Amos".
But...I think the observation of Amos and his kindred trolls that grassroots opposition to the global corporate hegemony (which poses as market based democracy) has shown itself to be pretty much impotent.
Let's face it, our arsenal and application of tactics, based mainly on the patently false premise that we live within a system that is going to be responsive to non-violent dissent are predominantly ineffective.
We know that violence can be effective but we, in general, lack resources and the will to take that path. We can safely assume that while this system doles out the soma* violent upheavel is a remote prospect. Who wants or needs that kind of bloodshed anyway?
It seems to me that our efforts are piecemeal, fractured, unfocused, diffuse, non-linear, uncoordinated etc...you can insert any word which describes ineffectual results.
Our causes and targets are too many, our resources too limited.
We need to pool our resources and focus our attention on attainable goals. We need to work collaboratively.
We need to be like a globalised company specialising in one product line. A company can keep recruiting, filling vacancies and functioning regardless of how many of our staff are "headhunted" or whatever.
A proposal I floated before, that also went down with no survivors, was to build a global campaign to knock off one target at a time.
What we need to find is one, or a small number of global corporations that would be susceptible to a concerted campaign of boycotts, blockades and other forms of direct action.
How effective could a sustained and intense campaign against a Shell, for example, be? What message would we be sending to corporations in general? "You are no longer impervious, we can take you out". If we showed that we could bring down even one company it would create a huge shift in corporate thinking and culture. And imagine the impetus and optimism it would generate for our disparate and innumerable campaigns.
This would require that some people involved would have to work on a campaign that is seemingly unrelated to their own specific field of interest but until we show we can actually "discipline" anti-social and unethical companies how can we ever expect them to bother listening to us? As the trolls never tire of telling us "no-one gives a shit, no-one listens" and who can argue with them given how few and far between our victories are? What have we got to lose by trying this ambitious approach to our problems?
It sounds a bit wild, a bit idealistic, a bit hard and it is but what are the alternatives?
We have been losing ground steadily and descending further into the neo-cons abyss.
What practical and realistic options do we have? If we don't start hitting back soon it will be too late, the machine will not be stopped.
That is the concept, if we could, how could we coalesce and coordinate around it?

The problem is that you're not right but impotent, the problem is that you're wrong, utterly wrong about everything, history, economics and human nature. Idiots like you rushed to build the 20th century's socialist utopian paradises, destroying half the planet and killing 80 to 100 million people in the process. Because human stupidity is invincible and eternal, these colossal human tragedies weren’t enough to teach you anything, the rest of us, however, learned.
You're evil. Does that sound dramatic? True evil isn’t dramatic, it’s petty, banal, and always convinced it’s own delusions. History’s great murderers are just society’s mediocre little men, resentful losers and useful idiots. Evil’s foot soldiers aren’t orcs, they’re naive male idealists, age 10 to 30, the rank and file of the Khmer Rouge, the revolutionary mob, the Maoist cadre. History's killers and wreckers all utterly convinced they have to tear everything down so their bright utopia can dawn, only it never does, does it?
Because you’re deeply stupid you’ll never understand this or anything about your world. Your whole life will be a failure.
Today you're weak, defeated, laughable, but I'll tell you this, it's no crime to kill a socialist, ANY socialist, whether national or Marxist, it's merely self defense. Be thankful you worthless scum are no threat, you'll know when you are, it'll be the day we slaughter you. That’s what the 20th century was all about, people like me killing people like you in the largest numbers we could manage by any means we could find, and we won, completely and crushingly. Look around, at this society you hate, we built it and you’re utterly powerless to change it.
You don’t feel you belong and you know what? You’re right. So throw some shoes in the air, you piece of shit.

Well well Amos, what rock did you crawl out from under? Inciting violence against idealists, whats next?
However I am glad my input raised the eyebrows of a new right winger, Spinifex died by his own sword long ago, I miss him the sore loser, and now it’s your turn.
I was getting sick of preaching to the converted, theres nothing that pleases me more than to shoot the breeze with them but there is no point, I’m after new blood, I want your sole Amos, and I’m prepared to reach that goal.
Now you have got me all wrong, I don’t sit outside buildings march in streets and waste my time on the pointless, that’s what money is for, I do other things.
Albert once said, if you continue to repeat your actions you will get the same results.
Been there, pointless Smokers beware.
And if you can tell me the difference between sucking down a pack a day and the worlds population using industrialisation to do the same thing on a planetary scale, then I wonder weather you can foretell the future.
I’m hoping for a new lung, can you foretell what the planet can expect?
Now its no use using Jesus in your argument, he and I go way back, and like him I am always being misunderstood, so to put it in plain English, I am Pagan, foremost in idiology is Nature First.
That means in practical terms, Humans are in surplus, 4.5 billion can die now, and only then will there be a difference.
However, like my good mate Jesus, I cannot advocate culling to be the solution, that will be the natural result of all this repeated action we both speak of.
I am impotent, you are quite obviously right, I would like my vote to count, not just appeasement. I would love that common sense prevailed but the facts are.
Without oil there is no first world developing economy. Without oil there are no super powers Without oil there is no everything you are used to. No surplus for welfare and hospitals schools or help in hurricanes. No future, in the context that parents hope for.
However, with shoes pulling down the threads that bind this system together there is a chance that the calamity that ensues may develop a new plan of Action, give a new direction, a result which may or may not be worthwhile.

Well Amos (or should we still just call you Chris or spinifex?), who said anything about socialism or marxism?
I only want a society committed to, and based on, truth and justice.
Is that too much to ask?
You support a corrupted system that has degenerated into inequity and an endless tangle of lies. You support the corrupt apparatuses of a corrupt state inflicting violence on dissenters. What kind of value is that?
People like you are all mouth. You wouldn't have the courage to confront me personally with your hate and spite filled ideology and language. You rely on the states drone squads of useful idiots to protect you from the wrath of your fellow citizens.
Admit it, you are a coward. A cringing, mindless little worm hiding behing the Gestapo and casting insults. What a pathetic creature you are!
You personify the values of this system that calls itself a 'liberal democracy'. A twisted Orwellian term for a system that is neither liberal (Parkin) nor democratic (Telstra).
You illustrate why it is more important than ever that we must destroy every last vestige of Howards psychotically hateful regime. Only when we destroy and burn the diseased elements can we rebuild community and restore ecology and balance.
How about a pic and your address you vile little man? Let's see how courageous and committed to your cause you really are. You abuse people who at least have the conviction to get on the street to fight for what they believe in but do you have the guts make a stand here, amongst us?
Come on tough boy, is there any more to you than a big abusive mouth and quivering bottom lip?

You have to do better than that, please review the Spinifex file, just click into search, on the front page, enter the name, or try spin spinney Doris and a host of other synonyms he used to hide under the piece of chicken shit from Manly Council, I should write the obituary, he was a master of what you seem incapable of grasping.
Obviously you are not well practiced in the art, from this standpoint of never having experienced achievement, you have along way to go, producing an itch like a threadworm of minor annoyance, your standing alone totally unarmed on a battle field of wits, so yeah bring it on,, pick me pick me pick on me yeah try me. LOL.
Before you go on, is the system you protect, really threatened by shoes? Raised your eyebrows, didn’t it, no question mark, clearly hit the mark intended, goal for me I think, and the crowd applauded.
A non violent protest of such cunning delivery that no authority could just ignore it , all grass root, it would root industry, root the demostration and root you to your knees, you would have a hard time picking out the street that has no decoration unless you sit in your garden at Brighton looking out over he bay and still before the beach one last line of wires carries the message.
Once street demonstrations and activism becomes equal threats to mission control at least then we all have something left to throw..
Lets imagine one pair for every Iraqi civilian killed by bullets and bombs, that’s around 80 000 since 2003, lets add to the cable Afghanis, once the sums are done and I’m only guessing, lets set it at 100 000 then combine all those affected from the very beginning of gulf war, then we are really talking 3.5 million lives lost so far.
That’s a lot of shoes, a hell of a weight to put on a wire system, a hell of a death toll caused by the Hawk system of contrived foreign policy. would'nt you agree?
We both know all empires go up then come down once raw material no longer can be found; its not down to the willingness of people you idiot. Shoes cannot fall so easily so the action cannot fail

No, I have no idea who 'Spinifex' was. I'm afraid I don't hold the same giddy nostalgia for the Spinifex era as you do, I'm sure it was an exciting time, when at least one person was paying enough attention to you to spit on you.
Yes the shoe throwing idea was a direct hit on my values system, that's why I keep mentioning it, because it terrified me so, not because it makes you look ridiculous. I’m looking forward to seeing you get 3.5 million shoes together since you can barely afford one pair.
I’ll tell you what, you do that and I’ll agree to punch a hippy once in the kidneys for each Iraqi who voted in the election. Deal? I think that’s about 8 million.
So pitch that Nike, jackass. One two three THROW!

Define Amos a Muppet, a puppet a wanker,
Define wanker, someone who wastes strength for pointless self gratification.
Here we have a troll with no plan, no idea and speaks off the cuff with nothing, no editing, delivering no point of view.
He does not explain why he hates Scott, he doesn’t really know why, Scott just seems like a weak target for his scorn.
He's a bully
He believes in John Howard’s government but would equally support an Adolph Hitler if he were in control. Amos is just one of those empty headed yes men lapping up the words of government, unable to study intention or take the trouble to see the lies and inconsistencies, just a noddy, shouting down any opposition
Amos doesn’t want improvement, he’s a white Anglo Saxon protestant, and thinks that’s perfection.
Sadly Amos is retarded, inbred probably.
He Supports democracy but does not support freedom of speech freedom to demonstrate, freedom to travel, freedom of any kind.
He Won't listen, doesnt care to. Cant learn, doesnt want to, cos it would not improve his tug rate. Indy is one site between porn sites and knowing his pull rate it offers no alternative.
My advice
Amos piss off to Uzbekistan or somewhere your pitiful brain would cope. to be with people who have no memory of democracy those who know no better, this is Australia you complete tosser, it’s a big place but not for your type of loser
Now remember Amos, arguing with me is a bit like running a race, in fact it is just like entering the Olympics. for me arguing is a sport, a competition, very serious business, I really want to win. You however cannot enter the normal competition and for that reason I will leave you alone, you’re in the Special Olympics category, that means even if you win you are still retarded.
Bye now, you did really well, there will be a certificate in the mail

People.
After reading all these comments to a little idea someone had would I like to comment on Amos as well:
I think he has simply a very sad live that he has to use the anonimity (is that spelled right?) of the internet to diss some people. If he'd have to confront you in real life he'll be a small guy who'd be full of smiles and nice things to say about you. But he can't cause he doesn't have the balls to do that (not that you need ball to be strong, it might actually be the contrary...)
Dear idealists, PLEASE!!! keep on with the work you believe in. Being at the protests in Gleneagles earlier this year and seeing how well the anarchist campsite worked despite thousands of people and even more cops made my little idealist heart jump with joy. Another world is possible, we just have to dream about it first.
A note to Amos: I'd love just to say 'get a life, kid' but that's what you already got. To make it a life you're happy with living you should find something you believe in other than just to diss others. Nobody likes bullies, yourself the least. If you have to critizise others please do it constuctively and not on this weak and pointless way. Nobody forces you to even read what other think. You are free.
Another (sometimes helpless) idealist.

In Siberia there is a road called the Road of Bones, it runs from Magadan to Yakutsk. It was built by political prisoners and slaves, who died by the thousand. Because the perma-frost was too hard to bury the corpses, the bodies were broken up and used as ballast for the road's base. Every meter of road cost one human life. The road is 2000km long, Russia is a big country.
You people are scum. Socialists are vermin. Idealists? Don't make me fucking laugh.
