What's been happening with the MUFF boycott over the last couple of weeks? Read on...
MUFF BOYCOTT NEWS Wednesday 26/5/2004
An article about the MUFF boycott appears in the latest issue of The Bulletin. Freelance journalist, Simon Castles, interviewed both Richard Wolstencroft and myself for the piece. Choice quote: When asked if "transcendental fascism" is hierarchical, Wolstencroft responds; "It is certainly not hierarchical based on anything like race." So the concept is hierarchical? It's clear from other things he's said and written that "transcendental fascism" isn't merely hierarchical but authoritarian and...well...fascist. More on that soon. The article says that I admit that there is no proof that Wolstencroft is a racist or an anti-Semite. I meant that there is no direct proof, such as explicit statements or membership of any neo-fascist group (that we know of). However, there is plenty of evidence which converges towards the conclusion that Wolstencroft is closer to being a regular neo-fascist than he would like us to think. More on that soon, as well.
According to the MUFF website, film and video entries closed on May 14, but entries for MUFF Kunst are still open until June 4. This is also given as the date filmmakers will be advised if their work has made the cut. The website claims that this is MUFF's "biggest year of submissions to date." The festival is scheduled to take place from July 8-18 with the George Cinemas in St. Kilda as the main venue for the third year running. No other venues have been confirmed.
One artist confirmed as a festival guest is American photographer, Gina Garan. Her photo series, This is Blythe, is to be exhibited under the MUFF Kunst banner at Outre Gallery from July 3-13.
-----------------------
The MUFF Boycott is an attempt to weed one particular negative element out of the Australian film community. But a bigger issue for that community underlies the whole affair. One filmmaker who contacted us about the boycott said that he knew Wolstencroft was a disgrace but would not actively oppose him because MUFF is one of the very few opportunities for independent filmmakers in Australia to get their work screened. We're sure that this feeling is widespread among artists, audiences and sponsors. With the proliferation of independent films and videos in Australia in recent years, why has the expansion of screening opportunities been so limited that filmmakers feel that they have to tolerate being used by a neo-fascist in order to get their work seen?
This isn't the place to try to answer the question and it would be more useful anyway for readers to ponder it themselves, look for the reasons and try to find some solutions. Shane Lyons 26/5/04

There's a weird feeling to it. I've got a few theories though eg
Loonar watch is a construct of RW
Loonar watch and RW are lovers
Loonar watch and RW are co-conspirators of some sort
Loonar watch and RW have a plot to promote MUFF by having a staged "conflict"
Loonar watch invented Bkmc to promote MUFF and/or Loonar watch
Muff is an excuse for Loonar watch
Loonar watch is a device for MUff
Muff is an invention of Bkmc
Bkmc is an invention of muff
It woud be clever marketing if you could tell who is selling what.

MUFF to screen David Irving holocaust denial Movie by ... • Monday May 24, 2004 at 01:58 PM

After the last debacle where the screening of this movie was canceled at the last moment due to protests from a wide varity of groups, I have it on good authority that MUFF will attempt to screen this movie again, it's unknown wither it will be declared in the official listing or a last minute screening where notification will come though there mailing list(eMUFF) but it will definatly be going ahead.
Personaly i'm disgusted that they would attempt this again and do hope that activists and other intrested groups stop this screening from going ahead.

For anybody who hasnt heard Richard Wolstencroft Aka Bkmc is involved in a S&M club franchise called Hellfire theres one in Melbourne and one in Sydney, strange considering such things would be shut down under a Nazi Regime of which Bkmc is such a fan of.

Fight Depression - Help Woltstoncruft
by J. Kennet

"...A list of history's most powerful leaders-slash-dictators follows, with the justification: "These figures shaped entire eras with their own willpower, and their life stories, especially their sexual tastes, psychology and motivations make for essential study..."
Reich may have answered all this with the mass psychology of transcedental facism but people often ask me how my interest in depression started and I did not, could not bring myself to actually tell them. I will now. It began with some knowledge picked up as gossip at various young Liberal Party functions. I always assumed it was scurrilous if not libel until I found it confirmed by an unimpeachable secondary source. What knowledge is that I hear you ask ? Well I'll approach this indirectly if you don't mind and would you pull that camera back please? Thank you. Another thing I'm asked sometimes is why I persist in calling Peter Costello " Dog". The reason I do so is intimately related to my interest in depression because the information I heard linked Neil Brown, Michael Kroger and Peter Costello in a homosexual Menage a Trois and the news of that plunged not only me but many others in the Party into depression. Under the guise of " Tennis matches" these three would adjourn at the slightest excuse to playing a rather different sort of game. One they apparently called " Shakespeare." This is where " Pretty" (Peter) and " Michelle" (Kroger) and the " Priest" (Brown) would re-enact scenes from " Romeo and Juliet". Pretty Peter and Michelle/ Michael would take it in turns to " play dead" while being tested in various perverted ways by the Priest played by Neil Brown. The " Shakespeare" part of it involved direct penile stimulation by mouth and hand and something absolutely DISGUSTING called " Rosepetalling" or Anus Rimming but then THAT was usually simply foreplay or prologue to depraved orgiastic scenes of full anal intercourse one after the other and on occasion a conga line or daisy chain of sodomy utilizing liberal amounts of KY jelly. We all suspected something but who knew the veritable cream of Liberal hopes and dreams was being squandered in so base a fashion and in such dark and dirty ways and means? I turned to reading all I could on the subject and educated myself to the point where I felt confident to proceed with my depression initiative. The Liberal Party can deal with depression and move on from it in a constructive way by openness about it's situation and an honest appeal for help from the wider community. Why should flagrantly camp and extravagently gay Party members be forced into straightjacket like closets to the point of GETTING MARRIED and HAVING CHILDREN for Christ's sake. All for the political demands of hushing up their dog like animalistic sexual behavior. I appeal to everyone to accept minority Liberal/Fascist Party sexual preference and exhibit TOLERANCE ...oh and UP the BOMBERS! For the love of Peter.
Lash you later Richard, love Jeff.

Richard Woolstonecroft is a panel speaker at Critical Culture next Sunday May 30th at 5pm Level 3 96 Flinders Street Melbourne check http://www.nextwave.org.au
perhaps his comments could be photocopied from the Bulletin article and distributed to the audience so there can be some critical questions of his idea of "Free".

Hi Shane, bkmc from bkmc here, I realise you are flat chat what with wall to wall media commitments and a web site that is just on fire having surged past the one hit a week mark but I was wondering whether you might find time to post a MUFF program here.
I was thinking it might be romantic to take my new 'squeeze on the side' to a flick.
